Good evening.
European nights under the lights are
special - even more so at this stage when
tonight we host a Champions League
semi-final in our new home.
Every year we have shown progress in this competition
and now we find ourselves in the final four amongst the
best teams in Europe. These are the sort of games that
we want to play regularly here in this magnificent stadium
and I believe we can.
We must be clear that we are not content with coming
this far and our aim is to win the Champions League. We
know that when we pull together and show our quality we
can achieve anything and we have proved that in Europe
already this season.
We have had some nights we will never forget, home
and away, and we want to create some more memories
and write our names into the history books.
To win the Champions League you need to beat all of the
best teams in Europe and tonight we face another strong
opponent as we welcome Ajax and their manager Erik ten
Hag to Tottenham.
They have shown their quality by beating some top clubs
and we know we will have to be at our absolute best from
the word go across both ties.
We will be relying on your help too. Every game here you
have created an incredible atmosphere and the challenge
from me to you tonight is to make it even louder to inspire
our players even more.
With the world watching tonight it's important that
as players and fans, we show why this is such a special
football club.
