Tonight, we step foot into our first-ever UEFA
Champions League semi-final - a landmark
moment in the illustrious history of our dub. The
last-four tie with Ajax marks an unmistakable
symbol of how far we have progressed in recent
years and one man who has borne witness to that journey is
goalkeeper Hugo Lloris.
Our captain is now in his seventh season with us, since
moving to north London in the summer of 2012, and he has
seen a great tide of change throughout those years.
Upon arrival, he hadjoined a side that played at White Hart
Lane, had never finished higher than fourth in the Premier
League and that had only ever qualified for the Champions
League once.
Fast forward to the present day and he now skippers a team
that play in front of over 60,000 fans at the new Tottenham
Hotspur Stadium, have achieved a second and two third-
placed finishes in the Premier League and now have made
history by reaching the final four of the Champions League
for the first time.
It has been a dramatic rise for the entire club, but it is an
ongoing project that still continues to excite our number one.
