I ^ntewiewt GORDON'S THE MAN TO LEAD THE COUNTRY JAMES Forrest was delighted to hear Gordon Strachan announce that he was staying on as Scotland manager for the upcoming World Cup qualifying campaign. The former Celtic boss had considered his future after the national side failed to reach Euro 2016 but he elected to remain in the post, with the groundswell of support he received from the Tartan Army playing a pivotal part in his decision. "All of the boys are really happy he's staying on," he said. "I like the way he plays football and training is really good as well. "It's high intensity and all the boys take that into the games, and all the lads have come out and said the same thing. We put in a lot of good performances in that campaign. "We were a bit unlucky in the campaign, but we just need to get on with and get ready for the World Cup qualifiers next year. "I wouldn't say there is regret, maybe frustration as there was one game (Georgia) where we didn't perform but we can't dwell on it and just take the good performances into the qualifiers next year."
