EUROPA The home side fought back, though, and their persistence paid off when Slovenian striker, Robert Beric made it 2-2 in the 76th minute and that's the way the game ended, Ajax may have held the sway in terms of away goals going into their home leg in the Amsterdam ArenA, but Beric carried on from where he had left in the first leg by netting once more against the Dutch side to make it 3-2 on aggregate to Rapid. That goal arrived in the 12th minute but it was only the first marker in what turned out to be a night of nail-biting football in Amsterdam.
