it 5-0 on the stroke of half time.
Terry Galbraith and John Gillies
reduced the students' deficit after
the break during which Kevin Ball

"Against Hamilton we got off to a
slow start but after going two down we
improved late on and almost managed
to get back on level terms but while it's
always nice to win results aren't the be
all and end all especially in pre-season.
The young lads reached the top of one
ladder last year and are at the bottom
of another one now so they've got it all
to do again but I don't think there's any
chance of them resting on their laurels."
After visiting Gateshead yesterday
for a re-match of last season's Durham
Challenge Cup final the reserves have a trio
of Wednesday dates at Unibond Premier
League Kendal and Northern League
Div 1 Tow Law and Consett ahead of the
opening league game away to Newcastle.
