If the Lads are playing on a Saturday or Sunday your programme will be posted to you on a Friday so you should have it on a Saturday morning (postal service allowing). Midweek issues will be posted on the day of the game. A subscription for all 19 home league programmes this season will cost you just £57 - a reduction of £14.25 on last season's programme subscription price of £71.25. Last season three issues completely sold out at the match on the day of the game so a subscription is your way of making certain that you are never ever without your copy of 'Red and White.' This season's 84 page issue will as always be jam packed with exclusive columns, interviews, club news and full coverage of every game played by the first team, reserves and Under 18s. Popular features such as 'Looking for the Lads' where we track down a player from yesteryear will continue and we have a new feature on football memorabilia for all of you interested either in collecting or finding out about football ephemera. For those of you who feel your copy of 'All the Lads' is getting a bit out of date we are bringing back 'More of the Lads', a series in the same style as the definitive A to Z of Sunderland players featuring the fifty plus players to play for Sunderland since the match programme last updated the book for you. The players' trivia quiz continues with a new look that starts each week with a couple of questions about SAFC. To kick off with against Liverpool, last season's 'Daz Challenge' champion Roy O'Donovan will be looking to defend his crown against fellow front man In particular, hard man full back Joe Bolton and midfield maestro Kevin Arnott have given very few interviews over the years and both of this seventies pair were hugely popular with the crowd. Today's match honours the 1973 FA Cup winners and two members of that side feature. Centre forward Vic Halom and right back Dick Malone both reveal things never before published. Indeed none of the players interviewed have ever previously talked in such depth about their time at Sunderland and explored why they thought they had such a special relationship with the crowd on Wearside and compare it with their relationship with crowds elsewhere. They weren't always popular! You can have your name (or the name of someone you buy the book for) printed in the back of the book for no extra charge providing you order 'Sunderland Cult Heroes' before the end of August.
