Local stations A significant impact on your travel choices will be the managed use of Flolloway Road station which will be exit only from approximately 90 minutes before kick off (during this time eastbound services will not stop at Flolloway Road) and for up to 60 minutes after the final whistle.* "THERE'S ONLY ONE GONIAL MATCH V A j A X JULY 22, 2006 As a result, supporters are advised not to use Holloway Road station in the periods before or after matches. Arsenal, Finsbury Park and Highbury Islington stations will all operate normally. The change of stadium location offers an alternative option for supporters who can travel by Victoria line to Highbury Islington station which is now only a short walk from the ground. Crowd management At present, the Metropolitan Police Service manages queues at Arsenal and Finsbury Park stations. These measures will be extended with queues now also being managed at Highbury Islington station. The adjacent map shows routes to/from the stadium and locations for the managed queues and a summary of the measures is set out below. Arsenal station will operate normally with a supporter queuing system outside on Gillespie Road. Finsbury Park station will operate normally with supporter queuing on Seven Sisters Road/lsledon Road and St Thomas's Road/Rock Street. Highbury Islington station will operate normally with a supporter queuing system outside the station on the south side of Holloway Road. Supporters returning to Highbury Islington station after matches are advised to follow the route down Holloway Road as no direct access to the station or queue will be available from Highbury Fields. Supporters should also note that, post match: Hornsey Road from Benwell Road to Holloway Road wilt only be open to pedestrians for emergency access. The junction of Drayton Park/Holloway Road is a police controlled crossing point where supporters will be queued and assisted across Holloway Road as quickly as possible. For further travel advice and journey planning assistance check out arsenat.com or www.tfl.gov.uk TfL conducted a detailed evaluation into increasing the capacity at the station. They concluded that the feasibility of doing so was poor and that funds would be better spent at other local stations such as Finsbury Park and Highbury Islington where station upgrades are currently underway. Holloway Road station does not have the capacity to safely manage the number of people that would potentially use it on matchdays and to do so would lead to serious overcrowding. As a result this station will not be available to supporters and a managed operational plan will be implemented. This will be at the discretion of London Underground. Plans may change over time as a greater understanding of passenger movements is gained.
