FOREST IN THE NEWS LIVE GAMES SCHOOL WINNERS SUPPORT CENTRE BOOST EARLY RETURN FOR JIM Supporters are reminded that we have been chosen to take centre stage on Sky TV twice next month. Our opening day clash with Sunderland at The City Ground has been chosen for live coverage and will now kick-off at 5.35pm. And the visit of Jim Brennan's new club Norwich City will also be shown live on Saturday, August 30 with a 5.35pm kick-off. Meanwhile, our trip to Coventry City has been put back 48 hours to Wednesday, August 27 (kick-off 7.45pm). Michael Dawson and Gareth Williams were surrounding themselves with winners on the eve of the new season (3). They went along to The Council House in Nottingham to present certificates and trophies to 50 children, who had taken part in a newly-launched Mentor Achievement Awards programme. For the past year schools within the Elliott Durham Education Action Zone have been piloting a Learning Mentor project, which helps children develop their education. The highly-successful Nottingham Forest Study Support Centre was given a tremendous boost by a donation from Experian, the global business information solutions company. They handed over a cheque for £75,000, which will enable staff to re-equip the IT suite at the Centre. The Study Support Centre Manager Sean Kane is pictured (second left) receiving the cheque from John Saunders, Chief Executive of Experian (4). TH Jim Brennan is eagerly looking forward to locking horns with his former City Ground colleagues next month. Brennan completed a free transfer switch to Norwich earlier this month after turning down our offer of a new contract. The Canadian international will find himself back on familiar territory on Saturday, August 30 when we face his new employers in our second Sky televised game of the campaign. And the Norwich new boy told us: "I'm really looking forward to coming back to The City Ground and seeing all the lads again. "It was a wrench to leave because I had four great years with Forest. "I'm a Norwich player now but I sincerely hope that Forest have a great season. I'll be closely following their progress and results." www.nottinghamforest.co.uk 19
