JUMPING FOR FOREST
NOTTINGHAM FOREST
PROGRAMME CLUB (IND)
WEST'S NEWSAGENTS
NEW FAN IN HONG KONG
There was a real 'Forest Feel' to a showjumping
event held recently to raise money for the Lines
Notts Air Ambulance.
The course included a Forest Show/jump, which was
resplendentin our colours, but the connection with
The City Ground didn't end there.
Our picture shows the Forest jump being cleared
by a horse called Market Force, which was being
ridden by Vicki Young (1).
Vicki is the daughter of our former central
defender Willie, who made 64 appearances for
us in the early 1980s.
It doesn't end there - as Market Force is owned
by former leading international showjumper
Malcolm Pyrah, who is a keen follower of our
fortunes and a season ticket holder in 'C' block
of the Main Stand.
And what's more, the showjumping event was
organised by William and Sarah Potter, who are
also life-long supporters.

WE ARE PROBABLY THE LARGEST
DEALERS IN NOTTINGHAM FOREST
MEMORABILIA (BOUGHT SOLD
AND EXCHANGED). COLLECTIONS
ALWAYS SOUGHT.
Our Academy goalkeeping coach Mick Leonard is perhaps best known
around these parts for the time he spent with Notts County.
But Mick also spent seven years of his career playing in Hong Kong,
where he made quite a name for himself.
He's still a regular visitor to the former British colony and on a recent
trip he met up with his former South China team-mate Lee Kin Wo.
Lee is one of the biggest names in the game in that part of the world
and is the reigning'Hong Kong Footballer of the Year'.
And his son, Lee Ka Wah, clearly has excellent taste in football shirts
- as our photo shows (2).
Mick explains: "When I went out there last summer I gave Lee Ka
Wah a Forest strip but it was way too big for him.
"By the time I went back this year he had grown into it-and
seemed really proud to be seen wearing it."
