a row Celtic Park will
host the annual UK
Asian Football
Championships when
British teams, as well
as sides from the USA
and Canada, compete
this Sunday, August 26.
And once again the
Celtic Charity Fund, the
charitable arm of Celtic,
has made a substantial
donation to support and
sponsor the event.
Dilawer Singh,
President of the Scottish
Asian Sports Association,
said: "The tournament
will endeavour to
highlight and profile the
extent of the enthusiasm
and passion of Asians for
football, thereby
dispelling the popular
myth within the
football and sporting
fraternity that Asians
can't play football."
The event will take a
similar format to that of
last year. Games go
ahead this Friday, August
24, and on Saturday 25
with the Finals at Celtic
Park on Sunday at 2pm.
The event will be
followed by a reception
in the Kerrydale Suite,
Celtic Park. Take the
chance to experience an
enjoyable afternoon's
football. And you can
also take advantage of
the voucher opposite.
Just take this voucher
along to Celtic Park on
Sunday, which permits
entry for one pupil,
or one pupil with an
accompanying adult.
