L'Udinese vuole continuare a stupire per riempire altre pagine di
gloria della sua storia ultracentenaria e I'eventuale successo a
spese del mitico Ajax, owiamente confortato dal passaggio al
terzo turno della Coppa Uefa, costituirebbe per I'Udinese il risul-
tato piü ecclatante di sempre. Lo 0 a 1 dell'andata apre le porte
alia fiducia, ma l'Ajax non il Lodz, ha mezzi tecnici, tattici, psico-
logici notevoli per parare il colpo, naturalmente anche per vincere.
E' una squadra dalle mille risorse quella olandese, da tempo fuori
casa non si smarrisce, abituata a battaglie di ogni tipo in qualsiasi
parte del mondo. II suo "dossier" impressionante: ha vinto 26 scu-
detti, 12 coppe nazionali, 2 Coppe Intercontinental! 4 Coppe dei Campioni, 1 Coppa delle
Coppe, 1 Coppa Uefa, 3 Supercoppe europee. un club che sempre sulla cresta dell'onda a
dimostrazione della sua organizzazione: quasi ogni anno perde alcuni dei suoi gioielli, eppure
riesce sempre a sostituirli nel modo migliore. Partito, destinazione Milan, Kluivert, i Lancieri
dispongono del georgiano Arveladze che si sta imponendo come uno dei migliori attaccanti del
campionato olandese. Uno degli elementi di maggior spicco, elemento base degli olandesi,
sicuramente il nigeriano Sunday Oliseh, 23 anni che nella stagione 1994-1995 giocö con scar-
sa fortuna in Italia, nella Reggiana. Oliseh, come fece nella gara di andata, dovrebbe piazzarsi
in difesa (per I'occasione il 34-3 diventerè un 4-3-3] perché (allenatore dell'Ajax, Olsen, anch'e-
gli nuovo, teme Bierhoff.
Per fare un paragone con gli squadroni italiani, I'Ajax concede piü possibilita all'awersario di
offendere, il suo sistema difensivo meno efficiente di quello del Milan e soprattutto della
Juventus, ma il suo coraggio, il suo entusiasmo, soprattutto la sua esperienza (in ciö i Lancieri
sono i primi in Europa] gli consentono di essere una formazione micidiale, bella a vedersi, con-
creta, spietata, capace di segnare gol in quantita con tutti i suoi uomini. L'Udinese per sperare
nel quasi miracolo deve cercare di andare subito in gol. Soprattutto deve avere la forza fisica di
riuscire a pressare gli olandesi dal primo all'ultimo minuto: questa Tunica arma per reggere il
confronto. Inoltre la compagine di Zaccheroni deve saper approfittare della notevole spinta che
i bianconeri riceveranno dai 40 mila presenti al "Friuli". L'Ajax un tornado quando lo lasci gio-
care, diventa una formazione pressoché normale se non gli concedi spazio, se non gli dai tre-
gua nel cercare di rubargli palla. Non facile, siamo d'accordo, i Lancieri oltretutto sono abilis-
simi nel trovare il compagno a memoria, ma I'Udinese, che ha mietuto vittime illustri negli ultimi
mesi, puö essere un awersario molto ostico per loro, piü di quanto l'Ajax tema.

Nigerian who in 1995 played with little success in the Italian team Reggiana. As he did in the
