Have a heart, ref! Rangers FC are playing Heart of Midlothian in a Scottish Premier League fixture. Early in the second half, Hearts have two players sent off for violent play. With Rangers 2-0 up, their hopes of victory look like Mission Impossible. But things were to go from bad to worse. A third Hearts player, and then a fourth, were also dismissed, leaving the visitors with seven players on the pitch against the fullstrength Scottish cham pions. They put all seven in defensive positions around their own box and ended up losing 3-0. You might be wondering what on earth a match with four red cards could have to do with a Fair Play article. The explanation comes from Rangers' Danish striker, Brian Laudrup. "The first two red cards were well, OK. But the third and the fourth were for some protests to one of the refe ree's assistants. All right, I can imagine that some of the comments made in the heat of the moment were none too polite. But when the referee reached for the red card we could see that if he Rangers' Danish striker, Brian Laudrup, avoids a dangerous challenge from Grass hopper's Murat Yakin in the UEFA Champions League at the Hardturm last month.
