FAIR PLAY - HOW YOU CAN HELP
U E FA
CHAMPIONS
LEAGUE
Each club is responsible for safety
and security, as well as for the
conduct of spectators in its own
stadium. The clubs are called to
account by UEFA for any fire works
that are set off, objects that are
thrown or unsporting behaviour by
spectators. Many clubs spend
considerable sums of money on
safety and security for spectators -
an area that UEFA feels is of vital
importance.
You are paying appropriate
amounts of money for admission into
the stadium. UEFA therefore urges
you not to waste any more of your
hard-earned cash on fireworks or
projectiles that could be thrown.
Please do not throw any other
objects onto the pitch or at any other
spectators - after all, you could also
be hit by something. Moreover,
please remain in your places...think
about those people who are in front
of you or behind you.
Football thrives on emotion - and
the players on the pitch are not the
only ones who experience the full
range of feelings during a match.
Encourage your team as loudly as
you want, and in a sportsmanlike
way. Let your joy, anger or
disappointment show...but please do
so without causing damage to
facilities in the stadium.
Finally, a plea to those people who
come to the stadium with the
intention of spending their evening
commiting violent or unsporting acts
- please stay at home. Not only the
club, but also those fans who behave
in a fair and sporting manner will be
grateful to you for giving them a
chance to watch a football match in
safe surroundings
