Today, September 28 1994, is the second meeting of AEK in the Champions League.
The first one in Vienna was crowned with success. It was the continuation of the
super performances against Glasgow Rangers, which made all of us proud.
We, and you also, the thousands of fans of AEK, are wishing to see another top level
performance in Europe, which will excite us all and which will be celebrated
accordingly.
Our players will do their duty and deserve your applause. You are thfe ones
supporting them to achieve victory in the field. Millions of other fans are going to see
for themselves in their TV sets that AEK F.C. justly entered the big scene of the
European football. The effort is common and the aim is one...
UEFA supports in all possible ways the European football and aims to achieve a
universal football celebration, always according to the "fair play" principle. We also
support their noble efforts. The golden history of AEK F.C. and its 70-year long
victorious path are calling upon us.
