He made his mark as a constructive inside-forward in •"«ÉPw Burnley's successful youth and reserve sides, fiul W» but had to wait until March, 1963 before I «gfc Mmm. It was a I JÊEBff memorable debut as the young Bellamy, replacing the injured Jimmy Robson,^scored kept his place but then, in his first match of the following season, really arrived when he ji||' scored a glorious hat-trick against reining "*K League Champions, Everton, at Goodison Bk. - g Park- Although a dependable club man for ten seasons in the first team, Bellamy was Bmr" Wff perhaps never quite an automatic choice. 1 L-'ke many utility men he covered for other players and versatility was invaluable.
