The Dutch connection
ABOVE is Ton Van Mavrick, who while on
holiday in Britain in July, heard the draw for
the first round of the European Cup. He
thought that while in this country it would be
an ideal opportunity to visit Celtic Park.
He cycled from London to Oxford then took
the train to Glasgow.
He is an avid Ajax fan, going to watch them
every week, and hopes to be here tonight for
the first leg tie.
He has a knowledge of Celtic after the
meetings with Ajax in 1971 and from the
Rotterdam tournament this season.
