Fans travelling to Liverpool by road for the Wanderers' game at Anfield are advised by the Royal Automobile Club to take the following route: Leave Bolton on the A666 taking the M61 and then M62 to Liverpool (31 miles). On leaving the motorway, keep straight ahead at traffic lights under the flyover onto Edge Lane (dual carriageway). Follow City Centre signs for two miles to Edge Lane bus garage which is just past the Plessey Factory on the left. You are advised to park your car here and make use of the special football bus service from the garage to the ground as parking in the vicinity of Liverpool FC is difficult. Travel facilities to away games are again available through the official Wanderers Travel Club to members who produce their membership card when booking and carry their card on all coach or rail trips. Membership of the Travel Club for the coming season is now being accepted by the promotions office and costs just 50p for the year (free for agents).
