qualifies for the qualifying round of the Champions League. Should this club not qualify
for the Champions League, it is entitled to a place in the UEFA Cup. The winner of the
Amstel Cup earns the right to play in the next season's European Cup Winners Cup.
Numbers three, four and five will play in the UEFA Cup. Should the Dutch cup winner be
among these teams, then the number six of the regular Dutch competition gains the right
to play in the UEFA Cup. The champions of the Champions League and the European Cup
Winners Cup are directly placed in next year's competitions.
The winners of the Champions League and the European Cup Winners Cup will play during
the next season for the European Super Cup. The winner of the Champions League will
also play the South American club champion for the World Cup for club teams.
